Five-Year Review Available for Public Review and Comment Through September 7, 2018The Navy follows federal guidelines during the cleanup at HPNS established in The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) of 1980 (also known as Superfund), as amended by The Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) of 1986. In accordance with federal requirements, the Navy conducts reviews of remedies at HPNS every five years. This is the fourth Five-Year Review of remedies at HPNS, providing an update of the status of remedial actions at HPNS and progress made since the third Five-Year Review in November 2013.
