NOTES: First, we’re returning to the Bayview! Fifteen (15) community partners are confirmed to attend this event so far: the Golden State Warriors, the Oakland Black Cowboy Association, BMAGIC, SF Youth Soccer, Tenacious Tennis, and the Bayview YMCA are just a few of the organizations that will be joining us! Games and activities for the whole neighborhood, free bbq lunch, and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

NOTES: Come out and explore the 3rd Street corridor! Enjoy car-free fun in the Bayview and Dogpatch neighborhoods from 22nd Street to Donner Avenue on 3rd Street, with fun, FREE activities for the whole family to enjoy all along the way. Activity Hubs will be located on 22nd Street, Cargo Way, Oakdale, and Bancroft Streets, with dozens of free activities in between offered by local merchants. Highlights include BABY GOATS, live music, pop-up skate park, live art walls, Zumba classes, YMCA Healthy Kids Day, free blood pressure screening, and Summer of Love Fest by It’s Your District. Plus be sure to pick up an Explore Local guide (sponsored by OEWD’s Invest In Neighborhoods) from our info booth to learn about all the cool businesses, open spaces and art resources in the southside. Combined with the always festive atmosphere of the Bayview and Dogpatch neighborhoods, April 9th will be a special day to explore old and new. EVENT SHUTTLE // AKA T-Third Street Muni Metro Want to check out the whole route but don’t feel up for it on foot? Hop on the T-Third Street train, running every 12 minutes all day. For the price of a single bus ticket, get 1.5 hours of unlimited hub to hub service on your friendly neighborhood Muni Metro line. OPENING PROCESSION Don’t miss out on the #BlackBrilliance opening procession starting with sign prep at 11am.
