WHO: SFUSD & SF Alliance of Black School Educators
WHAT: 3rd Annual HBCU Fair
WHEN: Monday, September 12th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm
WHERE:  Mission High School, 3750 18th Street

NOTES: FREE to attend. To make this event a success for our students we need all 12th grade Seniors to prepare the following items in a packet for each school they are interested in applying to:
1) Register online at: (http://www.gotocollegefairs.com/) 2) Have the following documents in hand when they attend the HBCU Fair: *Copies of their current transcripts *SAT/ACT Scores (If Available)
 *Personal Statement *Two letters of recommendation. If students do not have their test scores by the date of the HBCU Fair, they can bring a copy of their ACT/SAT test registration. Students will have an opportunity to speak with Admissions personnel from 40-50 different HBCUs representing hundreds of majors and professional degrees. In addition, all students will be able to receive application fee waivers and “on-the-spot” admissions (w/ required documents) and scholarships.

NOTES: A perennial event focused on school enrollment, summer and afterschool resources, and family engagement opportunities for our most underserved communities.  Featuring our Family Advocacy Summit where you can sign up for childcare, afterschool resources, and Youth Jobs+paid internships. Parent and teen workshops for all ages. *Limited FREE shuttle bus at 8:30am provided from Carver, Bret Harte Elem., Sunnydale Wellness Center, and the African American Art & Culture Complex!
